What IsleBlaque aims to do in the year 2026.
IsleBlaque officially began on October 5th, 2025.2026 will be our first full year of intentional building.
1. Build & Engage Our Community
In 2026, IsleBlaque aims to actively engage with potential members who come across our platform, inviting them to join us in creating meaningful change.
This community is centred around Black people — whether you are Caribbean, African, Afro-Latin, Afro-American or part of the wider diaspora. No matter your shade, tribe, area, or walk of life — you are welcomed here.
Our focus this year is connection, conversation, and establishing a strong foundation of members who believe in what we are building.
2. Create A Protected Space for Cultural Anchoring
IsleBlaque is what I call a “gated community” — not in exclusion, but in protection.
In 2026, we aim to reinforce cultural pride within the UK context — where many of us are subtly taught to be reserved, silent, “polite,” and to conform.
We do not reject British society. But we refuse to erase ourselves within it.
Through content and dialogue, IsleBlaque will encourage staying rooted in our culture, our history, and our language while navigating the UK.
3. Start Honest Conversations
In 2026, IsleBlaque will begin releasing video content addressing topics that are often avoided.
The goal is not conflict.
The goal is awareness.
We understand that growth sometimes requires discomfort. If feathers are ruffled in a productive way, that is part of the process of change.
4. Honour Our Foundation
Our initial focus is the Black British Caribbean community — particularly descendants of the Windrush generation who arrived to help rebuild Britain after World War II.
This is not about exclusion.
It is about starting where I stand.
As the founder, my roots trace back to the West Indies. Our saying,“West Indies. Windrush. Wi Deh Yah.”
is a reminder that we are still here.
As IsleBlaque grows, we aim to expand our focus to embrace and uplift members from across the Black diaspora.
